What We Believe

The Great Commandment

The most important relationship in life is the one with God. According to the Bible, we were created to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength. We were also created to love one another. How? Because God loves us first, we are filled with that love and then direct it toward others. This isn’t just “being nice” or “doing good” or saying, “Have a great day.” This love sees others the way God sees them—for who they really are. This love helps people to become all that God created them to be.

The Great Commission

The Church is not a place where people who hold the right beliefs find shelter and protection from the world, nor is it the “morality police.” trying to create a more decent America. The Church is really a movement of people, called together and unified by the truth that life with God is not some future wish, but it’s available right now. The Church is the hope of the world because life with God is good news to a world that yearns for hope. Jesus is available to all, and we have a mission to take that truth to our community, our city, our state, our country, and our world.

The Bible

We believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God. Because of that inspiration, we regard it as true, reliable, and a guide for life. In the Bible we discover God’s heart, His design, and His perspective. In the Bible we learn about the life of Jesus Christ, His teaching, His death on the cross, and His resurrection. As we explore and understand these things more and more, we grow in the knowledge of Christ and can unite our hearts with who He is. Then we experience faith as we live out what we have learned.
